    Default Staying latched on

Baby is 5 weeks old and lately will nurse very good for about 5 minutes and then will pop on and off and get a little fussy the rest of the time that I am trying to get her back on. Does this mean she is ready for the next side or is not getting the milk out. Also at night she will go about 4-5 hours between feedings and will only want to nurse on one side and then be done--is this ok. She has plently of wet diapers and stools with almost every diaper change as well, so I think she is getting plenty but I am just so worried she isnt or I am doing something wrong--please help

At that age, we would switch feed a lot. Eg 5 on first side, 5 on 2nd, back to first etc.
Lo get efficient nursing very quickly! So long as output and weight gain is good, you have nothing to worry about. I think it's best to listen to your baby and respect her cues that she is done for now. As long as the feedings are not scheduled and you feed when she "demands" , everything will work out fine
