Default How much to put in freezer bags?

    Hi,
Right now my 3.5 week old eats about 2.5 oz at a feeding. I'm starting to freeze some in freezer bags but now sure if I should freeze 2.5 oz per bag or put say 5oz in a bag to freeze then that would be for 2 feedings when defrosted. I'm new to this
    thanks!

Are you planning on having your baby away from you for long periods of time? If so, I think 5 ounces would be fine. I always froze in 2 or 4 ounce quantities for Lilah, she drank somewhere between 1 and 2 ounces at a time and the sitter would just offer her 2 ounces.

This time I will probably freeze a bunch of 5 ounce bags. It's really up to you. You could do a mixture of both.

    Hi thanks for the info!
Is it OK to defrost 5 oz, feed half then for the next bottle feed the rest? Or do I have to use it all immediately?

Yes. You just need to use it within 24 hours of thawing it.
