    Default can i use proactiv?

    i had to stop it while i was pregnant just in case.. does anyone know if i can use it while i breastfeed?

    According to Kellymom you can. I've used it for 5 months and my DD is fine.

    I saw something by Dr hale that said it was ok because the med isn't absorbed into your skin therefore it wouldn't get in your milk. Now I can't find where I read that

    Per Thomas Hale, PhD (author of Medications and Mothers' Milk), "The transcutaneous absorption of both of these drugs is minimal to nil. Peroxides, even if absorbed, would be instantly metabolized in the body and would not be able to reach the milk compartment."

    The above quote is taken from the link to the Kellymom page I posted above. I believe this is what Faith was looking for.
