Default Can an ear infection affect nursing?

Lately Eli has been pulling off the breast a lot as he nurses and he seems more comfortable with the football hold. I've noticed stuff coming out of his left ear and I think he may have an ear infection. Could an ear infection cause a problem in nursing?

Stuff coming out of the ear means see the pediatrician, in my book.

I agree. I'm taking him in tomorrow! He hasn't had a fever though which is why I'm not sure!

Ear infection will definetly affect nursing. Last summer my ds had something coming out of his ear and was grumpy and having trouble nursing but it turned our he didn't have and ear infection. Just a really bad buildup/blockage of ear wax. The ped cleaned it out and he was all better.
Ds 9/09 nursed for 20 months
