Thread: Sulfer smell

  1. #1

    Default Sulfer smell

I exclusively pump for my 5 month old. In the last month, my milk has had a sulfur/ rotten egg smell from the moment I pump. I have read about this happening a couple hours after from poor storage or from enzymes, but not fresh milk. My daughter has no problem eating it, but it concerns me that it smells so rancid. If she doesnt mind eating it, is it okay to give it to her- fresh or thawed, it still smells.

If she doesn't mind, it should be fine.

Maybe this link will help you troubleshoot: http://www.kellymom.com/bf/pumping/l...essedmilk.html
