Soooo one beer, say a Red Stripe, and all systems are go? No need to watch for starting and ending times or pumping and dumping?

yep. i never pumped and dumped, it's a waste of time unless you're uncomfortablely full. as the others said, alcohol does not accumulate in your milk.

was wondering the same thing.. good to know.

the other night i went out and had a few more then i should of but went home and pumped once thru the night and dumped and then when i was up for the day and fine.. i had pumped again and got alot since i skipped one to sleep longer. i was sad to throw such a great amount out. but wasnt sure and didnt want to risk getting my son drunk.lol. but now i know if im sober i am fine..

what if its been hours later and technically i couldnt be drunk but oddly felt it.. should i dump or conclude that its a minor hangover?

I wouldn't give milk if you still felt drunk. Alcohol usually metabolizes in the blood (and milk) at about 1 drink per hour.

This thread has made me feel a lot better. I enjoy wine every now and then and have been pumping/feeding before I drink and then giving Taiga the clean expressed milk on those evenings. But lately she is refusing bottles (even at daycare) so I was like, guess I don't get any wine But I will take this as a license to be bad again... in responsible moderation.
