    Unhappy Pain!

    Hello-
My son is a little over 6 months old now and all of a sudden I am getting some pain when he nurses on the right side. Just on the nipple- nowhere else. I also noticed that there is also either a bruise (or maybe a freckle, Im not sure). But he has recently started biting now that he has 2 bottom teeth. Im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to get babies to NOT BITE!! I would pull away- but I think that would make him bite harder!

    Thanks for any advice!!

    Jenna

Here are two good links that talk about biting. My daughter is also 6 months. No teeth yet. I am not looking forward to it.

Also I have heard of scraping the teeth. That may be what the soreness is from, if it's not biting.

You can hold their nose for a second and they will open their mouth to breath or just push their face into the breast for a second and they will open their mouth.

    Hope all that helps.

    GOOD LUCK.

    Thanks for the links!

I was just about ready to give up completely. My Mother and Grandmother think its stupid for me to keep nursing through this- but now I can show them that its not that uncommon!!
