Question Need to replace pump parts?

My pump (the Ameda lactaline personal, it's called something slightly different in America) has been in fairly continuos use, three times a week day for about 2 months now. I think that it has become less efficient (or my supply has taken a drop, but I don't think it's that).

I remember reading posts which said that you can expect to change certain pump parts every 2-3 months. I couldn't find the post and I'm not sure what to try. Can anyone advise please?

I contacted Medela about that about the Medela Pump In Style and they told me I shouldn't have to replace any parts unless they are damaged. However, I have read that if you are loosing suction you may want to try to replace the membranes. They are the small white rubbery flaps - if your pump has them. They are fairly cheap to replace.

Thanks. I'll try changing the membranes and see what happens.
