Thread: Too many sleepless nights...need natural sleep aid.

Default Too many sleepless nights...need natural sleep aid.

I have a 2.5 yr old, and now a 6 week old. The 6 week old has what looks like reflux, but/and doesn't feed very well. She chokes and gags on the milk (slow nipples, same effect), so she doesn't take much milk at a feeding. So she wakes up often wanting more (always crying). She is pacified by someone holding her...and nothing else (sometimes also is hungry, so we give her breast milk, and if we are lucky to not have choking and gagging, she'll settle down and go to sleep for another hour or so).

So now, weeks later, after having insomnia during last few months of pregnancy, and now can't get a long stint of sleep before she wakes up, I REALLY need sleep.

Can anyone recommend a nice, gentle but effective, natural sleep aid that I can use confidently while breast feeding?

    thanks so much!

What are you doing about the reflux? Have you contacted her pedi about it? Is she getting breastmilk straight from the tap or through a bottle?
