Default Issues with one booby and not the other?

I don't know why but I am having issues with my left breast! My DS latches on, most of the time, other times he does latch on correctly. I unlatch him and do it again until we get it right. When he does finally get latched sometimes he pulls away and sucks at the same time and IT HURTS!! Any suggestions?

Sometimes I think us new mothers overthink these things. Have you tried side-lying nursing, or reclining and letting baby latch freely while lying on your tummy?

I have the same problem with my LO. Still haven't found a way to get him to stop...just gotta keep relatching him over and over. It is the breast that has somewhat of an oversupply and OALD, so I think it's his way of coping with the fast flow. I'm hoping when he's a little older he'll be able to manage it better without the nipple grip. I find he does much better on that side when he is sleepy or relaxed - so I try to nurse him on that side when I can get him to it before he starts fussing...like maybe his reflexes take over b/c he's sleepy?

Hang in there - good luck!
