    Is there a good reference chart for when to offer what types of food?

    The "rules" for introducing foods are in the process of being revised / updated. Besides foods that are choking hazards, the latest thinking is to NOT delay introduction of foods.

    DS2 is 8 months, You would think by the 3rd kid I would remember some of this.

    Each time we started with bananas & sweet potatoes around 7 months (give or take a couple weeks). We have never had any food allergies for anyone yet.

    Thanks for the links! I think we will eat butternut squash tomorrow!!

    I think my son was in danger of turning into a sweet potato or a butternut squash. He couldn't get enough of it. wholesomebabyfood.com is great.

    Wholesomebabyfood.com is a GREAT resource and has a chart Plus it has recipes and directions for making your own (which I have done with some success! Read about it here: http://mamaplainandtall.blogspot.com )
