I dont know all mamas do, but my right breast makes more than my left. You can also tell by its size. Also my DS prefers the right breast. Odd

Yep. This is super common. My left always made more than my right, but over time, it seems things have evened out. If your LO has a preference, that can actually aggravate the difference in supply, because they'll suck more at their "favorite" side. It's not actually a problem, but it can make your breasts a little lopsided!

It used to be that my left was the over-achiever, but over time it has shifted to the right. That seems to be our preference for feeding, too. Perfectly normal.

agreed. my left is definately more of a producer than my right, so often times i'll start on the right, switch to the left, and then offer the right one again. dd still prefers the left so sometimes this is a struggle.

My right makes more but my left always gets engorged/mastitis first.

My left made more...but I only noticed it when I was still pumping.

My left has always made more. When DS was little I always tried to start him on the right to even things out but it never did until I stopped pumping.

I've been curious about whether most right-handed women make more on the left, possibly because that side is more comfortable for us (and allows more multitasking) and thus we are unconsciously favoring it? Just wondering if that might be a factor for some of us. I know I prefer nursing on the left for NAK.
