    I've been looking for you!

We're still doing the stuffy nose thing. I *think* I see a faint light at the end of the tunnel and we might be back on track. I'm so tired, I just want to give up again.

Update: For the past 3 nights I've nursed her then refused when she switched from left to right for the umpteenth time. She complained every time but last night was the least amount of complaining. She fell asleep in the following 15mins (9:45), snuggling and holding my thumb with her hand (the hand holding the thumb) across her face. She slept through until 3:45 the first night (I didn't nurse her until an hour later), then at 4:45 the next (nursed her at 5), then 5 this morning - we nursed and she went back to sleep until normal wake up at 8:30. So far, so good!

Glad it's going better! Owen has a fit each time he asks to nurse during the night and I tell him to wait until morning. He doesn't know when morning is though, so that's sort of pointless! We're making it from 7pm to 4am lately, but with many wakings and him having a fit when I won't nurse him, and he won't accept other forms of comfort but eventually I tell him if he hits/kicks/scratches me again he will have to go into his bed.

We're heading to Florida on vacation and will be staying in hotels, with family at their house, and camping with family on this trip, so I'm sure we'll go back to night nursing to keep him from disturbing everyone else.

I don't know what happened, but we're stuck and I'm feeling really cranky and resentful.

My E would ONLY sleep while nursing from 4 months to 22 months when I finally night weaned her. I hated to do it, but for me it was that or be sent to the asylum . We talked a lot about it. Like how we would not have milk again until the sun came back up, but we could cuddle or sing songs or rock. For three nights she was beside herself, and on the fourth night things were good. They've been good since. It's not something that I ever thought I would do, and a part of me still feels bad for doing it, but I know that my mental state depended on it. I hadn't been able to sleep well while nursing for around a year at that point, and my back was killing me. In the end, I think we were all happier with a happier me.

She persistent. "Mommy? I have nursies? Pleeease?" "Dis wan?" "Milk?" "Pleease?" Oy, breaks my heart and pisses me off, then I feel guilty.

    we're there too
Bennett is super clingy when it comes to sleep, whether it's nap or bed time. He'll sleep good for about 2 hours, and then it's hysteria if I'm not sleeping next to him. DH will not do if I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night he jumps out of bed screaming after me. This is a recent development, but nothing has changed so I'm hoping it's just a phase

    Checking in ....

I don't want to be too hopeful, but I think the time change may help with night weaning here. Baby nursed at about 11 pm .... and next at 6 am. Then asleep again for another hour and a half.

And this was straight through - DH didn't get up with baby at all.

Before, baby had been waking to nurse at about 5 am which was brutal for me. I can deal with 6 am - and if he doesn't go back to sleep it's not a too crazy early start to the day.
