I"m popping in to say Me Three
Bennett only nurses at night ALL night, occasionally once per day. And he screams bloody murder if we try any other way of comforting him at night. And I'm so tired I"ll do anything to stop the screaming so we nurse.
He is going to nurse so much longer than Cooper did

K was far more reasonable. Lu will not be reasoned with or distracted. She picks her heels up and slams them into your thigh in protest. Then wails and says please in the sweetest, most heartbreaking baby voice. I feel like a heartless woman for sticking to my guns.

We had a late bedtime last night because we had a late nap. Nap at 5, bedtime: 10. Nursed, snuggled to sleep. She slept until about 4:45a. I nursed her at 5, when I realized she was probably hungry. Woke up at 8:30. So far, so good.

It looks like you've got a 5 hour stretch there, right? I know it's hard and frustrating - but I remember when Lilah finally started sleeping a 4 to 6 hour stretch... somewhere around 20 months. It was AWESOME!

You'll get more sleep soon. I know you know that, but it's hard when you're in the thick of it and haven't slept all night long in 5 years. I've only got 2.5 years under my belt, I bet I'll be a bit more impatient with Miss Trixie than I was with Lilah.

I know Tracie. And your post made me realize that it did get better, so thank you. Yup, in the thick of it you just want it to end. Period.

M sometimes will sleep for 4 or 5 hours but we haven't figured out the reason / pattern. Last night he was asleep around 8pm, up to nurse around 10:30 or 11. Then slept until 4:45 am when I got him to nurse before I went to the gym. DH said M was a little restless after I left but eventually went back to sleep, and woke up for the day around 7:15 am

The only thing that finally stuck for Lilah was when DH started doing bedtime. Up to that point she had been doing a few 6 hour stretches at night a week for a couple months, but would mix it up with waking up every hour or every two hours. I never could figure out what changed day to day. When DH took over bedtime, she consistently slept 6 hours the first stretch.

We're back to nursing 3 times during the night versus 2x. She's sick, I'm sick and she's too stuffy to get a good nursing session in before bed.
