    I had EXACTLY the same experience as you. LOL, I wonder if it was the same ped! (probably not, but how weird!)

    Ditch that ped.

    We had better luck going with a nurse practictioner who is part of a large group of family practitioners. We are finding they are are lot more supportive of long-term nursing than any ped recommended by our friends.

    I can't believe your doctor was surprised that you were still breastfeeding. You are definitely right to find a new one. You said that women don't breastfeed that much where you live. Where is that, out of curiosity?
