I ended up having an unplanned C-Section during labor. The colostrum was there and the baby took a little time to latch, but he was doing fine.

The thing that was tough for me was having to get up to breast feed after a C-Section. THey had me on a drip with pain meds the first day which was fine and the baby pretty much slept the entire 24 hours... the nurses even made us wake him up to try and feed. But, after the first day when the pains from the surgery were prominent it was really difficult to get up and get him to me. Fortunately my husband was allowed to sleep in the room and helped me.

Good luck and all the best. We were made to do this so know that you can and will

Yeah, I'm nervous about that because my husband can't stay this time because we have a 17 month old at home, so I'm going to have to ask the nurses for help. I'm not good at that! I'll have to learn to speak up when I need help, and use that call button!
