    Default regular tea?

    Someone just suggested drinking regular tea to help increase milk supply.[she has twins] Has anybody done that with any success? {usually you hear about mother's milk tea}

    you mean regular caffeinated tea? because mother's milk tea is decaf...and you hear so many things about avoiding or limiting caffeine intake while breastfeeding...

    i personally haven't tried it...and i try my best to stay away from caffeinated drinks...

    sorry i wasn't much help

    One factor that can cause a woman to have low milk supply is anemia, or iron deficiency. Consumption of tannic acid, which is in tea, blocks the absorption of iron, so it can actually have a detrimental effect!

    I also like to avoid as much as possible caffeine, I do like the decaf for the very same reasons you have mentioned in pp..
