    I can only tell you that co-sleeping saved my sanity too and that my LO started STTN before starting solids.

    I am in the exact same position at 4 3/4 months. Thinking about starting the rice cereal too. Let me know what you end up doing and if it works!

    Yeah I agree with the other ladies here about RC not helping them sleep through.

    It should also be noted that 4.5 months is a prime time for a huge brain development. Babies are more awake to the world and often trying to work on new skills and it really affects their sleep. My LO was sleeping long stretches at night until about 1.5 weeks ago (he'll be 4 months on Aug 2) and then all the sudden he's up every 2 hours again.

    If you google The Wonder Weeks it'll give you some really fascinating insight into what goes on at these different development stages and why their sleep is affected.
