Default Approaching you OB/GYN about Inducing Lactation

In a previous post, I stated my OB/GYN didn't respond well to me discussing inducing lactation. For those of you that had this conversation with a doctor, how did you approach the topic. Did you bring in a copy of the protocols?

Do you still see the same OB?

My initial visit with my regular OB/GYN was just last week. She is one of six OB/GYNs at my clinic. I have thought about meeting with another doctor at the clinic that specializes in breastfeeding (but not inducing lactation).

I've never induced lactation, but when I was nursing I was having some trouble and went to a clinic that specialized in breastfeeding, and I highly recommend it if it's an option for you. Good luck with the lactation efforts, and best wishes for your adoption.
