    Default bump on nipple

I have a small clear bump on my nipple, in the center. I noticed it got a little bigger since yesterday. Its causing some pain. What is it and how can I make it go away?

That sounds like a blister to me, hon... it's caused by the baby's tongue or gums rubbing against your nipple. I don't know how you'd get rid of it, except by maybe altering the way your baby latches on some so it can heal.

    Hi Marilinda
Is the pain only on the nipple, or is it deeper in the breast? Sometimes a clogged duct can have a little blister or plug right in the nipple that you can see.

It sounds as if it might be a milk blister/bleb. Read more here to find out whether these are your symptoms...

This will also give you some suggestions for how to resolve the issue. I've had several....and after trying all the suggestions, the epsom salt soaks really worked....and fast! HTH. Let us know how it turns out. Best of luck.

Does it appear to be like a blister? I think no one has responded because your description is so vague...can you explain in a little more detail?

This is odd -- I could have sworn I saw a couple responses to this question already! Are the boards being flaky, or am I losing my mind?

A blister (perhaps caused by friction due to poor latch), or possibly a milk bleb?

... there were responses. I'm not sure what's going on.

Oh, I see it -- the question was posted twice. Here's the thread that first got answers -- just to make sure you see it, marilinda!
