Oh, my! New here, glad to find this thread! I'll probably read the whole thing over the next few days.

    YKYNATW....

...when DD lifts your shirt, nurses for 3 seconds, then kisses the nipple and pats the breast. The repeats with other side. Then tries to repeat with first....!

...when you and DH are each about to fall off your respective sides of the bed because the DD between you has turned completely sideways, doing nursing gymnastics in her sleep!

You know you're HAPPY to be nursing a toddler when your toddler has a fever for two days and she refuses to eat or drink much of anything besides her "NuNus." Thank heavens for them!

    YKYNATW...

... you try to get her inside by bribing her with cookies, chocolate, strawberries, and daddy with a reply of "nooooo" until you say "would you like a booba" and she says "yeah! Booba!!"

... the first words out of her mouth when you pick her up from daycare are "booba"

... she throws a fit when she sees you taking a shower.. *sigh*

... she will not nurse until they are both out so she can conveniently switch every three seconds

YKYNATW...you slave over a dinner of BBQ pork sandwiches, coleslaw and whole-wheat, homemade Mac and Cheese from scratch - this *especially* for your baby - only to be told no no no no. She refused to eat a drop of food and requests nursing instead.

ykynatw this is what bed time sounds like...

    "shwanka shwanka icka star
how a wunda wha shew ah
    uppa <nurse nurse nurse>
    baa baa sheep sheep
    hava wooo
yasssss suh yasssssss suh <nurse nurse nurse>"
proud but exhausted working mammy to two high needs babies

    • my surprise baby: the one and only D-Man born 3 weeks late (5/5/08) at 9 lbs 14 oz and 21.5 inches, and
    • the shock H-Girl born about a week late (10/7/09) at 8lbs 15oz and 20.75 inches.

If I am here I am covered in baby (probably two) and fighting for control of the keyboard.

    Family beds are awesome

I was just thinking....I hadn't seen this thread in a while

The other day my DD told me that she was going to drink from one side and the baby was going to drink from the other It's much of an improvement from "I'm going to drink all the milk and the baby will have NONE!!!"
