    Default another milk question...

I had asked previously about cow milk being a requirement by our doctor and she was nursing 5x/24hr period, but now have yet another!

My dd is 13 months and is kind of weaning herself She nurses about 3x (sometimes 4) in a 24hr period. Do I only giver her cows milk when she's not nursing at all? Or when she's down to 2 feedings/day? Are there any specific guidelines? Thank you!

It can't hurt to start now, just to find out if she likes it. There are plenty of other ways to get calcium and healthy fats into your LO, though- like whole milk yogurt and cheese, almonds, avocados, etc. Just google "high calcium foods" and you'll get some good resources.

thank you ladies, this was very helpful. I might try it and see if she likes it and also keep giving her lots of yogurt, which is one of her all time favorite foods!
