Default How much milk should I pump for a "healthy" 6.5MO for 4 hours?

What would be a safe amount to have for my MIL when she watches the girls next weekend? I assume she drinks a lot from me b/c she is a total chunk, but she hardly ever gets a bottle so I have no idea how much to pump.

    IS she eating any solids?
I might send what ever solids she is eating also.

I would think 4-5 oz would be good that way if she didn't take the whole bottle it wouldn't be wasted.

4 hours at that age she might just wait till you get back.

No, she's not really eating solids much yet. I will make sure she has some banana or something though. Really, only 4-5oz? That's actually good to hear. I was worried it would need to be more. Maybe I'll aim to pump two 3oz bottles just to be safe...

When my little one was that age he could go without for about that long if I had to go do something. But it's nice to be prepared, so I agree with Andrea, 4-5 oz should be plenty. I think I did 4 for him at that age, and he would always drink about 3.5

Alright, thanks ladies! Could only get two oz this morning, so I'll try to get two or three more before the weekend.

dd2 is the same age and when i have to leave her i send two 3oz bottles. she usually doesn't drink from a bottle either. now that she has tried some solids, i send a frozen banana in a mesh feeder. she loves them b/c she is teething and if she doesn't drink anything, at least she is getting some food from the banana
