    Default Wish me luck!

I'm going on a trip without my baby next week. I'll be pumping exclusively for the first time (he's 7.5 mos), and I'm nervous - both about how my supply will handle it and how much I'm going to have to fight with TSA on the way back with all my liquid gold.

Anyway, just wanted some lucky vibes thrown my way!

So long as you declare it at the line you should have little trouble. I've traveled with 3 12 ounce bottles of milk in a cooler and had little trouble. Got a couple of funny looks, but no major issues. I was also at the time hauling a HUGE hospital rented pump.

Just keep it in clear containers and let them know what it is and you should be fine, momma!

I took a trip to see my mom and had BM with me. All you have to do it tell them you have EBM and they will test it. They shouldnt give you any trouble, it is a medical thing.

Make sure you carried with you, do NOT send it with your suitcase. I just flew from Orlando, FL and had no issues.

    Good LUCK!

Thanks everybody for the good wishes.

Things went great! I told the people in the security line (I went through the special "family" line), and they were very professional and accommodating. One guy said to stop after going through x-ray and they would test it, but no one came over and eventually I just left. I had this cooler that has a separate area above that's water-tight for ice; they let me come through w/ that as well. I thought I would have to dump it and get ice at a restaurant.

All in all, several weeks of anxiety and planning for less than one minute of smooth sailing!

And my supply didn't suffer as much as I thought it would. I was able to pump enough for 5 feedings a day (he usually gets 6). I wonder if the amount he gets through nursing is closer to what 5 bottles is, since he picked the nursing back up yesterday w/o missing a beat.

Anyway, a big old *whew* from me!
