La Leche League Leaders are volunteers -- experienced mothers who have nursed their babies for a year or more and have been trained in breastfeeding counseling and the normal course of breastfeeding.
There are several ways to reach an LLL Leader with your breastfeeding questions. The best way is by phone or in person at an LLL meeting. You can find the LLL Group or Leader nearest you by checking the LLL Group Index or searching the map of Group locations.
If you prefer online help, you can submit a question using our online help form. Your question will be assigned to an LLL Leader who will respond within a few days.
You might also want to check the FAQs to see if your question has been answered there.
And of course you can post your questions here on the Mother-to-Mother Forums, where you will receive responses from other mothers like you, who have nursed and are nursing their babies. Usually answers on the Forums are from other members and not from LLL Leaders. LLL Leaders on the Forums can be recognized by their blue LLL logo avatars and the "LLL" at the beginning of their usernames. Forum staff and moderators have green LLL logo avatars. Only LLL Leaders represent LLLI and provide LLL information and philosophy. All other users speak from their own experiences and opinions. Please take what works for you and your family and leave the rest.
