    Congratulations on your new baby.
Is the pain in your nipple or breast?
It could be a latch problem, but maybe not. It took me until about week 4 for the pain to start going away. I had two strong suckers too.

Here are some links with good pictures to make sure your latch is correct.

This is about sore breast(not nipples) in general

I have also read thrush can be painful. I have never had that.

Good luck and hang in there. Once the pain is gone you'll be glad you stuck with it. i know it's terrible. I would bite my lip, curl my toes, and tense up and sometimes cry. Relaxing music helped us both to settle down and work on a good latch.

I also had pain until about week 4. Eventually it does go away - one day you will be nursing and just say, it does not hurt anymore!

What got me through the pain was the packs that you can make hot or cold. I would put the cold pack on after nursing and it would help a lot.

Hang in there! You've made it this far, and it's commendable that you are continuing despite the challenges.

yeah my baby sucks really hard too. it doesn't usually hurt too much while she's nursing, but afterward it's either achy or sore. i find it helps to let the nipple air dry before putting breast pads/bra back on. also, put some of those breast therapy type ointments (I have one made by Gerber) on your nipples between feedings.
