    Question Butter

DS has already had toast so I was wondering...Where does butter fit into all of this? Is it safe before the age of 1 like cheese and yogurt? What brand is best?

I'm not sure about butter. We used olive oil spread on toast, and he liked it, but I don't remember what brand it was. I could be wrong, but I don't think butter is like yogurt or cheese in that (I'm not sure I'm wording this correctly) the culturing changes the "dairy-ness" of them. I think butter is still "real" dairy, so that's why we held off.

Okey dokey. I can totally hold off on giving him butter. DS likes the plain toast just fine.

Is there a reason you're staying away from dairy? We have buttered toast every morning with no ill effects (son is 7 months).
