    Default Is this balanced?

My DD is now just a week shy of 11 months and since we started solids, she just LOVES them! She eats almost as much as my 3yo sometimes! Is that ok? I figure that between the bottles at DC and nursing, she's probalby taking in somewhere around 20-25 ounces of BM a day plus the food.

if your worried maybe keeping track for a while of what she is eating would help put your mind at ease????

They say as long as toddler is nursing well 3-4 times in 24 hours you don't have to worry about milk subs.
It sounds like she is getting the mothers milk that she needs.

Wait, maybe I confused you with my comparison...I am concerned that the baby isn't eating a balanced diet. She takes in roughly 20-24 ounces of BM in a day but eats what I would consider huge meals 3 X a day. For example, today ...
    615 - 645 nursed
815 one slice of raisin bread, full container of pureed pears
    930 -950 nursed
    1230 - 1240 nursed
1250 one slice of bread with jelly, slice of american cheese, half a banana
    215-225 nursed
    315-325 nursed
400 - snack, a few graduates puffy things
600 - 2 chicken nuggets, 1/4 cup or so of mac & cheese, about 4 green beans
    630 4 ounces pear juice
    715 4 ounces BM (DH & I went out to dinner & had a sitter from 430-745)
    830 - 840 nursed

    What do you ladies think?

I would only be concerned if she was gaining far too much weight. Otherwise, I never deny my child wholesome food. It takes a lot of fuel to grow a child. The other thing I notice is it goes in spurts. Some weeks she eats like crazy and then eats practically nothing for a few weeks. I always assume it's a growth spurt.

Yeah, that's true. She may be making up for not eating while she was sick. She had RSV a few weeks ago and wouldn't eat any solids.
I feel better. I don't know about her weight gain...she looks like she's getting a big belly on her but, I think she'll be walking soon so I'm sure she'll slim down when that happens anyway! LOL
