How many wet diapers should 6 month old have?

It seems like she's having fewer wet ones and more messy ones. I'm worried she might be getting dehydrated, but is that possible if she's still eating the same amount and having more messy diapers? I'm going to count them tomorrow, but how many should she have? I guess I'm mainly concerned b/c she doesn't seem to have many REALLY wet ones lately, just little wet, but could that be just b/c we're changing her frequently (she doesn't like to be wet!)? She's been teething and had a cold and is all out of sorts, too. I took her to the dr yesterday to be checked for an ear infection (which she doesn't have), but I completely forgot to mention this!

Hi mama. She needs to have at least 4-5 good and wet diapers in a 24 hour period.

Hmm....well she's def not having that many. But are some LO really wet b/c they don't get changed as soon after and maybe the baby has peed twice by then? She gets her diaper changed before eating, then she plays for about 10-20 minutes and then gets another change. She gets fussy anytime it's wet or messy so we can't ever leave it for long.

And if she's not having enough, how can she be dehydrated, but still getting enough food to be messy? That doesn't make sense to me, but there's a lot I don't understand yet.

I don't know if he is having what he should, but my six month old gets his nappy changed 5-6 times a day (before his feed) and they're fairly heavy, and he poops once every 1-2 days. hope that helps.
