Good Luck, Anna! I am so glad you found someone to go with you, giving birth alone is such a lonely situation. It's wonderful that you are in such a conducive environment for breastfeeding!! Also, ELV!!

I haven't heard anything. She has my number, but I don't think she'll call me. If I do hear anything, I'll let you know!

If you do talk to her though tell her we're all thinking about her and waiting for her to come back and give us an update.

I don't think you need anymore advice, but I will share my experience. When my son was born I told the hospital that I planned to breast feed.
I had heard that nurses would take my baby to the nursery and give him a pacifier and formula - as it turned out, all the nurses were trained lactation consultants and I could call them at any hour to get help. I had a c-section and it made mt colostrum and milk come in slowly. At his first pedi visit the doc insisted I supplement with formula because she was convinced he lost too much weight. I had a gut feeling that he would be fine if I just woke him every three hours to feed - and that worked. My nursing baby was oversleeping. My son is 9 weeks old and I am really tired, but nursing is worth it. I hope you can find people who will support you while you bf.
