    keep trying,
hold the baby out so that he cann't see who is giving the bottle
somebody besides mom gives the bottle

    try diffent nipples
don't wait untill they are starving

you could even try a straw cup.. I was drinking out of a straw at about 4 months old.
I cann't think of any more

    good luck

Hi, my 3 1/2 month old was having the same problem.
She just started taking a bottle.
Try having someone else give her a bottle the same time everyday & def. don't wait till she's starving. It didn't take long, in less than a week I was able to give her a bottle with out tears. I've also found that pumping at least once a day helps shed the extra baby wieght!! Good Luck.

What sort of nipples are you trying?

I'm having the same problems with my 6 week old baby. He has refused about 10 different types of bottle nipples. I'm not trying to wean him at all but I just want to be able to have him take the occassional bottle of expressed milk if I need to go to the dentist or something. We have been trying for about 2 weeks without any luck so I understand the frustration you are having. My DS#1 took to bottles with no problems and had no nipple confusion so this is new territory to me too.

I've tried the following nipples that my LC suggested:
playtex naturalatch slow flow (latex seems to work better then the silicon)
evenflo ultra and elite slow flow

And the following that I have just picked up to try or received and tried:
playtex ventair (original and wide mouth)
munchkin triflow on the slow setting
    gerber premium

Good luck, my baby seems to take the bottle better from me then from DH but he might just be weird there. Or I have a higher level of patience then DH

You might try the Gerber NUK nipple. The latex one is better then the silicone. How ever my dd still refuses the bottle at 7mths. If you try a sippey cup the Magic Cup by Advent is good.

    Good Luck, Sara
