Default Over Active Let down back

My 5 month old and I have had problems with over active let down for the first month or so after his birth. Whenever I pumped my let down was immediate and I pumped in 5-7 minutes. After a while it wasn't a problem anymore and nursing became easier. Even when I pumped it took a couple of minutes for the let down to start. All of a sudden this week my let down is crazy again and it's even worse than before. He totally can't handle it and we are going to start block feeding. Why did this start happening again? Is it something I did?

I don't know exactly what it can be but this happens to me too at times.
expecially when DS,who is 5 1/2mos is in a grow spurt or teething and eats more frequently.
I just start block feeding, and DS after some fuss gets over it again.

I'm right with you mama. My LO is 5 1/2 mos, and I just started having OALD again. My dd is going through all of the above from pp. She's teething, working on either sitting up and/or crawling so she has been eating more frequently.
I think your LO might have gotten the memo
Well, I guess we're going back to blockfeeding. Like you, I had stopped for about a while and bfing was just fine. I think it'll work itself out in a couple of weeks.
