Please give me some advice/input! My DS who is the equivalent of an 8-month-old gags and even sometimes throws up when I try to feed him my homemade applesauce - but loves the storebought baby stuff.
I've tried a couple different varieties of apples - McIntosh, Jonathan, Jonagold - and get the same reaction. I peel and core the apples, cook them without sugar and puree it in the food processor after cooking. It doesn't seem like it's the texture.... is it the tartness? Should I keep trying? Or maybe add cinnamon?
I know babies can reject food 8-10 or more times before accepting it, but the whole gagging phenomenon is very strange to me...
