Thread: Weaning from Pump Only

    Default Weaning from Pump Only

I weaned my daughter completely from breastmilk at 6 months. My son will be 6 months this month. I would like to continue to breastfeed him, however I would like to give up pumping. I will still nurse him in the am, when I get home from work and before bed. He has been supplemented at daycare for a while with formula so there are no issues there.
I am concerned that my milk production will go way down, but really want to try this for a while.
Does anyone have any advice? Things that I need to consider?

Maybe you could just try shortening each puming session but a few minutes to start.
