    Default Burning sensation in breasts

Is a burning sensation in the breasts after and in-between breastfeeding normal? Sometimes I feel it and other times not. Could it be trush?
    Thanks, Magda

Are you feeling the burning inside your breasts or on your nipples?

If you are feeling it right on your nipples, are the ends of your nipples white when you feel it?

Early on in my BF relationship with DD1 I would get a burning/tingling sensation between sessions. My LC said it was the rapid refilling of the milk ducts. It did subside after a month or so of BFing.

There is a wide range of "normal!" Are you experiencing any pain while nursing? If you are not in pain while nursing and you don't have any predisposing factors to yeast (antibiotics, recurrent vaginal yeast infections, etc), then it's probably not yeast. Could it be a let-down sensation during those times??

^ My nipples burn and every now and then I also get needle like pains...it's when my milk lets down. Maybe this could be what you're experiencing, too?
