D has enjoyed baked potato a few times. He really really liked it! I gave him some brown rice last night, but I don't think any actually made it down his throat. We've been sitting him in a seat with a tray during our meals so he feels included. I forgot how much easier it is to eat my own dinner when the little one is occupied.

Right? Instead of having your plate in the middle of the table and trying not to cover their little heads in sauce/rice/pasta. Or them dragging the whole thing off unto the floor. Perfect!

How did you do the rice? I'm still afraid of her choking on the grains. But she's really into food.

I just put a few clumps of rice on his tray. It was sort of sticky so I thought they'd stick together pretty well. It didn't, but he didn't have any problems with it, either.

I don't think I'll do it again, it wasn't really worth the mess. I just happened to have it cooked and thought I'd give it a shot. I want to start with some more veggies I think.

I let him gnaw on my pear core and he liked that, too.

Apples and peaches. She loves to steal them from me and gnaw on them. No teeth yet either.

Baked potato yesterday and he loved it! Also, I gave him some beans and yellow and green squash from my minestrone soup the other day. They were all a big hit.

Would they let you switch that for more fresh fruit and veggies?
