    Default A nice comment today

I accidentally left my pumping stuff in the office microwave overnight and went to get it to pump. While I was taking it out, this other woman asked me what it was, and then said "Oh, that's for your baby" and asked how old she was. I said 11 months and she said "Wow, that's dedication"

I told her that I didn't want Lilah having formula and she said that she totally agreed and wondered if the rise in certain childhood illnesses was due to formula. Not the response I expected, but definitely welcomed!

For some reason these types of questions have started making me nervous as Lilah gets closer to a year...

You always get a little twitchy as the first year approaches, but hopefull you will be secure in your resolve once you're there.

    Thanks.

I'm not going to stop nursing her, it's just that people ask "Are you still nursing" and I think mostly they are just asking and not saying "Are you STILL nursing?", which is how I tend to hear it.

And it's becoming more frequent the closer she gets to a year. I suppose that when I stop pumping people will stop asking about it.

That's it! I think they just ASSUME you have weaned. I never really told co-workers (and such) any different! The only people who knew were close friends and family. We nursed until he was 2yrs, 5 months.

Right. By then, their assumption will take care of their curiosity.
