Default Feeding again after an abscess

Hi, I have just found out that I have an abscess in my breast and will have to have it removed ASAP. My doctor has said that I will have to give up breastfeeding my 6 week old son after the surgery. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, how you got through it, and if it would be possible to start breastfeeding again after my breast has healed? Thanks for any help and support you can lend.

I think maybe there is some info in the breastfeeding answer book
you call call your local lll leader and she can look it up for you.
I would think that depending on what is done it should be ok to continue to nurse at least on the other side.

I think Mollyb has a little experience with this too - someone in her family (I *think*) went through this. Molly, you out there?? I tried to PM you on this but your inbox is full!
