Thread: Dry Nipples

    Default Dry Nipples

I am a full time pumper and have been for the last 7 months. I pump at least three times a day. I have dry, white skin on my nipples along with a blood blister on each one. Is this caused by the pump? If so, how do I fix it?

I am not sure what is causing it, but one thing you might want to try is to leave a little bit of milk on your nipples after you pump as the milk is a great healer.

Breastmilk is good at helping to heal. Check to make sure that your flanges are the correct size for you. If your rubbing your flange wrong that could be causing it. http://www.ameda.com/breastpumping/most/fit.aspx
