Default Freestyle users - couple of questions

Could anyone answer a couple of questions for a friend of mine about the Freestyle?

Can I connect to the main plug & use it directly without using the rechargeable battery?

Do i need to remove the rechargeable battery if I'm using the car adapter?

She's mainly using in for pumping in her car, I think it would be good for that based on what I know, admittedly, not much!

You can connect to the main plug and use but I have never used a car adapter. I just charge the battery and use without plugging. You can charge at night and it's good to go for quite a while on the battery.

Me, too. I kept the charger in the bag just in case, and sure enough there were a couple of days where I'd forgotten to charge it and I was really glad that I had it (once I pumped with it plugged in, and the other time I had enough juice for the first pumping of the day). One more thing - if the battery comes out (i.e if you drop it hard ) it thinks it has no juice, even if it's fully charged; you have to give it a full recharge. That was the third day I was glad the charger was in my bag!

But I absolutely this pump - I wish I had had it when I started pumping!

I have never tried mine without the battery charged. Interesting.

Did your friend lose the battery or something?

Thanks guys! She's trying to decide if she should buy one or not. I thought you could just leave the battery in no matter what.

It's SO portable. You never have to take the battery out.

If she goes to www.bestbuybaby.com she can get one for as cheap as a PISA at BRU. I paid $270 including shipping.

Hmm she's in Malaysia... I'll have to see if they ship internationally!

ETA: Ahh they don't do international! Bummer.

And DON'T take it out, or you'll have to do a full recharge.

I'm PAK right now with my freestyle....
The battery is in and it's plugged in....I'll leave it on my desk and it'll charge for a couple of hours and be good to go!
