    Default Feeding EBM in a bottle?

    I have a 3 month old that has only been BF. My husband would like to feed him however I am not sure how many oz to take out of the freezer for one feeding...............Any suggestions.

    i agree with the pp...4oz is a good amount to start with and you can readjust after you see how she takes to the bottle.

    My son is 3.5 mo old and is fed EBM only. How much he eats at a time varys, but on average he eats 6oz. My suggestion is take out more and if he doesn't finish it that is fine. You dont want a hungry baby after Dad's first time feeding.

    Just so you know, my LO eats about 30oz a day and is in the 50% of normal babies size wise, whatever that is worth?!?! His eating might be a bit higher also because he sleeps 11 hours at night without waking up at all, so he gets his food in during the day.

    i would say 6 oz. that way you know you have enough and you can put any that your lo doesn't eat back in the fridge and reheat once for the next feeding.
    my little guy eats about 13 oz in the 12 hours i'm away for work, plus about 4-5 nursing sessions when we are together.
