    Default Out of curiosity...

How much do you get from a single pumping session.

If you wouldn't mind sharing I am wondering a few things about it also, aside from just how much...

    Do you work?
Time of day? - does the amount differ?
Are you and EP'r or both Nursing and Pumping
Do you get more at home/work?

I might think of more questions, but this should suffice for now.

    TIA

    Do you work? Yes
Time of day? - does the amount differ? I work 8a-5p, Mon, Tue, Thr, & Fri. When I pumped it was at 10a and 3p. I was also able to and still do go home at lunch to nurse.

Do you get more at home/work? Well, before we coslept I used to pump first thing in the am DD was sttn then and I would get a lot, well maybe 4-5 ounces. When we started cosleeping, I didn't pump at home anymore, just at work. I've NEVER gotten more than 3oz per session.

I might think of more questions, but this should suffice for now.

    TIA

    Do you work? Yup.
Time of day? - does the amount differ? Not really. I nursed Em before I left. And then pumped three hours later, pumped three hours later again. So, I'd typically have four to five full Medela bottles by the tie I left work. I could have certainly added another pumping session by putting them a little closer together.

I was very fortunate to make milk by the buckets. I think it definitely helped that my boss was very supportive, I had a room to pump in, if I didn't want to pump in my office. It was very nice that I never felt rushed.

Do you work? Yup.Time of day? - does the amount differ?2-3 times every 2.5-3 hours (9/9:30 and every 3-3.5 or 2 hours following (depending on my workload/mtg schedule))
Are you and EP'r or both Nursing and Pumping? Nursing and pumping

Do you get more at home/work? Work is the only place I pump usually.

I get anywhere from 4.5 to 6 ounces per session. The time that I get the most differs. Sometimes the 6oz are in the mornings, sometimes in the afternoons.

Do you work?b Yes, almost full time now but with my baby on premises nearly half of that time
Time of day? Primarily pump in the morning, but sometimes in the afternoon at work- does the amount differ?every time, even in the mornings... haven't had a set amount produced so far, varies from a half ounce to five/side
Are you and EP'r or both Nursing and Pumpingboth, primarily nursing but she gets about four to seven bottles a week
Do you get more at home/work?at home. I am relaxed, pump longer because I don't feel the need to rush back into work, and my baby is right next to me. I only pump at work if she is away for more than four hours, which is only two days a week.

    Not outside the home.

Time of day? - does the amount differ?
The most I ever got was 5-6 oz in the early morning. The least I ever got was .5-1 oz in the evenings.

Data is from the few days when I was EP'ing for newborn DD.

Time of day? - does the amount differ? Not really. I nursed both sides before I left home at 7:30. And then pumped three hours later, pumped three hours later again. I had 3 sessions in the begining and then two and finally one session. Are you and EP'r or both Nursing and Pumping Both
Do you get more at home/work? the least I ever got in a normal session was my late night sessions typically 2-4 oz total 1-2 oz each side, I was never able to early morning pump since Silas typically nursed each side for a half hour each. oh and pumping (no matter where) typically took me 30-45 minutes, sometimes even longer.

Yes, I work part time in the evenings.
I nurse last thing before I leave the house and *try* and pump about 5 hours later.
I get anywhere from 3.5 to 5 oz.
I nurse when I am at home, and pump probably 2x a day. I usually pump once in the morning to "top off" the bottles from my pumping session at work the night before.
I seem to have better output when I am at work.

    Hi!

How much do you get from a single pumping session? It depends, mornings are the best for me. After I nurse my DD first thing in the morning, I can get anywhere from 3 1/2 - 6 1/2 ounces...depending on how long she slept before. 6 1/2 is RARE...4 or 4 1/2 is average. After I nurse her and she goes down for the night, I get anywhere from 2 1/2 - 3 ounces. At work, I pump four times during the day: 8:15am I get about 4 ounces; 10:15am I get about 3 ounces; 12:15pm I get about 2 1/2 ounces and 2:30pm I get about 3 ounces. I always want more!!!
If you wouldn't mind sharing I am wondering a few things about it also, aside from just how much...

Do you work? Yes, full time
Time of day? - does the amount differ? Yes, mornings are better than evenings, which I'm told is normal.
Are you and EP'r or both Nursing and Pumping Both, I would have exclusively nursed if I didn't have to go back to work.
Do you get more at home/work? Doesn't really matter. I am more comfortable at home, but it really doesn't affect my output. Time of day is definitely the important factor.

    Hope this helps!
