    Default keep or throw lentil skins?

    i just boiled some lentils for my daughter. do you keep or throw away the lentil skins before pureeing? thanks.

    I always kept them. DS also liked to eat the lentils one by one, picking them up himself - something to think about - if they are soft enough they can be gummed.
    Imma to AA, born at home 11/12/07 , juggling , working, APing , cloth diapering , - and . I'm done - yay!

    It's the fact that they are so tiny that makes them NOT a choking hazard. For something to be a real choking hazard it has to be both big enough and small enough to completely block the airway. This includes whole grapes, hot dogs cut into round pieces instead of thin strips, chunks of cheese, chunks of chewy meat like steak, etc.
