Thread: Frozen Colustrum

    Default Frozen Colustrum

Sorry if I mispelled. I have frozen colustrum from May 30 2009 and I want to know if I can use it. I don't want to throw it away since the expiration date is looming but just wondering if I can still give it to my little guy.

Sure I'd feed it now rather than later since it's made for a newborn and would probably clean your LO out It's a natural laxative so you might expect looser stools if it's a lot.

I believe that colostrum would keep in the freezer as long as mature milk - and you can keep mature milk 12 months in the freezer.
