    Default Oversupply and health concerns

I pump exclusively for my baby. I have been able to reduce to 4 pumps a day and I generally get 10-12 oz per pump. I spoke with an LC and she mentioned something about me possibly have a high prolactin level. I was reading that this could be a possible health concern. I'm also wondering if this could be the reason my little one came 5 weeks early? Any thoughts?

Honestly, I wouldn't stress about this now. Months after you wean you can have your prolactin levels checked and if they are high, discuss what that means for your health with your doctor.

Are you donating your extra milk?

That sounds good. I'm not worried per se, more just curious. I actually just signed up with milkshare.com. It seems like a good place to start?

That's a great idea. It's a good idea to hold on to quite a lot of milk, but definitely donate. You can look for someone local to donate the milk to through Milkshare to avoid packing and shipping.
