Default Conversation about breastfeeding with Emily

So last night we had a sweet talk before we went to bed...
"Mom, I wish I was a baby and could drink boob forever."
    "Good night, Emily."
    "Do you wish I was a baby,Mom?"
    "Good night, Emily."
"I bet it was real easy to be a mom when I was a baby and just sat around and drank boob."
    "Good night, Emily."

Funny... she was reading my mind... sometimes it totally was easier when she just "sat around and drank boob."

We aimed for her third birthday and then she got sick somewhere around then and we kind of dragged it out... she's been boob-free for some time. Our new goal is to no longer "hold the boobs." When she sleeps with me (probably three times a week and then every night post 4 am) she likes to have me facing her and she has one hand on each boob. It drives me nuts. So we've been working towards holding hands or spooning.

She's a piece of work.... oh!! And I swear this is what it feels like she is when she is holding "the boob" while I sleep!! A monster!

Nope. A sweatband. Don't ask. She wears a sweatband or wristbands pretty much as often as possible.
