Who is giving the bottle? DS never took one from me. I couldn't even be in the room.

Is the EBM freshly pumped? If not I'd check for lipase. DS wouldn't take EBM that had been frozen & thawed. When I tasted it I totally understood why.

Have you thought about trying different nipple types? She sounds pretty strong willed (don'tcha love that in 'em?) so maybe you will just need to find a shape (or texture) she is willing to deal with.

We went thru 6 different types of nipples before we found one that our LO would take. This is what we found works best for him: http://www.gerber.com/Products/NUK_W...s_Nipples.aspx

We em because they're very BF friendly so it's an easier transition for him. We have the slow flow nipples so he doesn't get used to the fast flow and less likely for him to become fustrated at the breast when the flow isn't as fast as the bottle.

You can also try to vary where you feed your LO, sometimes sitting in the same nurseing area might help or it might actually hinder. Maybe you could try holding your LO skin to skin basically in the same position that you nurse and tickle her lip so that she roots for it instead of slipping it into her mouth. Hope things work out for you and your LO.

Well, it was HARD, I won't lie, but when my DD refused a bottle at first, I resisted the urge to just nurse her instead. I let her go for a little while longer, and then had DH try again, and she eventually took it.

MJ liked the Playtex nursers (slow flow, natural latch, latex nipples), with the liners. She wasn't great at it when she started daycare, it took some work to get her to take them reliably (I'm sure daycare just LOVED me ), but she eventually got it down pat.

    This is what we used...

Wasn't in the room, tasted it and it was fine. Just got 2 nipples to try. DIDN'T LIKT THE NUBY ONE sorry for the caps. The playtex seems ok but she's pushing it out with her tongue. I'm feeding her now. Guess this milk will be tossed if she doesn't drink it.
