    Talking yay for DD's ped.!

DD had her 18 month well baby exam today, and as usual, she's tall & skinny (8% for weight, 83% for height). Ped. was not concerned since DD has long been on this type of growth curve and has been small for weight since she was born. She asked if DD was drinking cow's milk. When I told her DD won't drink cow's milk but eats cheese & yogurt & other calcium rich foods and still BF's, she said we were doing well and did we plan to nurse until Tessa self-weaned? All of this said as if extended BF'ing is the natural thing to do! Then she proceeded to comment that DD is hardly ever in to see her except for well baby exams and said BF'ing probably had something to do with it.

I just love hearing comments like that from a ped.!
