DS was stubborn as hell....But he finally gave in to the Dr. Brown's wide neck bottle - BUT - the nipple had to be warm!!!!

A newborn baby has only three demands. They are warmth in the arms of its mother, food from her breasts, and security in the knowledge of her presence. Breastfeeding satisfies all three. ~Grantly Dick-Read

Well we tried again today and I left for an appt. She did not take it. She slept for 3 hours and is now nursing like crazy. I have another appt tomorrow and we will try again.

I never used it but there is the Adiri bottle. Or have you tried the Breastflow?

Each of my boys had to be held in different positions or they would not take any kind of bottle.
ds1 - dh tried about 10 different bottles and nipples and finally discovered that ds liked to sit up with his back against dh's tummy and would drink from his bottle that way.

ds2 - ended up having to be held in real close in a cradle hold with the bottle tucked under his dcp's arm so it was almost in the same place as a boob.

He still didn't like to take a bottle, but this was the only way he would drink anything while I was away.

I've tried different holds with her. Even tried to hold her in the cross cradle like I was going to whip the boob out and offered the bottle, she got PISSED!

OT - I love how excited she gets when she knows she's about to be fed.

Have you tried an alternate method ? Syringe or spoon or something else?
