I havent read through your whole thread, tiff, but . That was one of the reasons going back to work was not an option for me. W never did take a bottle.

How long are you away from them during the day? Any chance you can pop home for a feed in the middle of the day or have the nanny bring her to you? Have you tried a soft sippy? The person feeding the bottle skin to skin?

I'm sure there have been lots of suggestions.

    I gotta go for now...

    Hey Erin.

I'm working from home right now so it's really a moot point unless I have to go in for a meeting.

I've decided not to stress over it. The pedi did say that once she starts solids that she would get the hang of bottle feeding as it's a different mechanism for her than breastfeeding. Specifically spoon feeding.

    thanks for checking in.

Abby refuses the bottle too, but she used to take it just fine. I found out I have a lipase problem, though so that may be part of it.
She will take it from a sippy and a regular cup, though...is L too young for a sippy? My mom gave up on BF my brother at about a month I think and he only drank out of a sippy, never took a bottle.

I hear ya. I've been through many bottles recently. I gave up and pushed the sippy, I figured she would be drinking out of that longer anyway. She doesn't take much, maybe an ounce but its better than the flat out refusal I get from the bottle.

Update: She's accepted ( and by 'accepted' I mean plays with) the Playtex Orthodontic nipple from the drop ins. No wailing, and from me. I'll keep plugging away at it.

ETA: she did take a few sips but refused it just now. Milk wasn't warm enough I guess

She's sucking her thumb, should I try again with the bottle?
